Major new sponsors sign up for industry’s leading Awards @theflta

Carrylift and F-TEC to each present Archies at FLTA Annual Awards for Excellence

Two of the foremost companies in the materials handling industry have seized the opportunity to become sponsors of the Fork Lift Truck Association Annual Awards for Excellence 2020.

They join an elite group of sponsors and supporters that already reads like a who’s who of the industry, and includes Combilift, Doosan Industrial Vehicle UK, IBCS, Flexi, Toyota Material Handling, Triathlon Batteries, TVH and Yale Europe Materials Handling.

During a glittering ceremony on 21st March 2020 at the Hilton Metropole NEC, Carrylift will present the Safe Site Award, which celebrates organisations that have made real and tangible strides in improving workplace safety. Finalists include Cedo, Cummin, Devenish Nutrition, Forticrete, Howdens, Kellogg’s, Solent Stevedores, Tulip Foods, and Valiant Industrial.

As one of the largest suppliers of materials handling equipment in the UK, the Carrylift Group itself is no stranger to awards. In 2012 the company scooped the award for UK Forklift Truck Company of the Year, presented by the Institute of Transport Management, and also collected the Green Apple Environmental Award.

Following Carrylift onto the podium will be F-TEC, the UK forklift industry’s dedicated training centre. The result of an initiative between the British Industrial Truck Association (BITA) and the FLTA, F-TEC delivers the highest standards of apprentice and engineer training. The company will present the Safety Award to the winner from an impressive shortlist comprising Baumann UK, Hyster Europe, Linde Material Handling, Mentor Forklift Training, St Clare Engineering, Trelleborg Wheel Systems, and Yale Europe Materials Handling.

Welcoming the two new sponsors on board, Chief Executive of the FLTA Tim Waples said: “Carrylift and F-TEC are highly regarded companies in our sector and we are delighted that they have added their weight and status to what is recognised as the longest-established and most authoritative awards in the materials handling industry.

We now have a full complement of sponsors but the good news for anyone who wants to associate their brand with the Awards is that we have openings for two Event Supporters. As well as enjoying your share of the publicity ahead of and long after the event, you’ll also be warmly acknowledged in front of hundreds of your peers on the night.

“And what a night! It’s the industry’s best celebration of the year. Not only do we have a top host in Mark Durden-Smith, fine wining and dining, non-stop entertainment, live music and dancing but there’s also our legendary after-party.

“I’d recommend booking early though… tickets are going fast.”
