Casella, air sampling, noise and vibration specialist, has been recognised for its innovative Guardian2 Site Boundary Monitor winning Environmental Protection magazine’s New Product of the Year for Air Pollution Control.
The Environmental Protection New Product of the Year Award honours the outstanding achievements of industry manufacturers whose innovations are considered particularly noteworthy for making environmental professionals’ jobs a little easier. This year the award attracted a record number of entries which were judged by a panel of independent industry experts. Editor of the US based magazine, Jerry Laws, explained “This was the second year we conducted this contest in the spring, and environmental companies responded strongly with high-quality, innovative new products”. He said “Our contest shows that environmental equipment manufacturers continue to do an outstanding job of meeting their customers’ needs in this fast-moving marketplace”.
The Guardian2 is the complete solution to site boundary monitoring, allowing businesses to remain compliant with site emission levels using remote monitoring and reporting of noise, dust, vibration and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). The solution combines real-time dust, noise, and vibration sensors and is optionally equipped with a photoionization detector (PID) to measure VOCs up to 6,000 parts per million (ppm) that offers a comprehensive assessment of emissions and air quality of a site. User friendly and easy to install and operate, the unit needs no further interaction as it can be powered through mains, solar or battery. The Guardian2 offers easily automated reporting via email, with text or email alert messages should emission limits be exceeded.
Tim Turney, Global Marketing Manager at Casella, said “We are honoured to receive this award from such a well-respected publication in a year with so many strong entries. We are proud that the Guardian2 has been recognised for its innovation in providing a complete monitoring solution and its abilities in air quality control, particularly in the United States which is a relatively young market for us. Our presence is rapidly growing, and it’s such an achievement to have already received this accolade at such a formative stage.”
